During the week I have a day job, I know this may surprise some of you that I don't just play on Facebook, make jewelry to sell on Etsy, work on my website for Adult Romance Products or hang out at the beaches of Lake Ontario searching for sea glass. No, contrary to popular belief, I keep myself pretty busy.
I work at a day program that assists adults with Intellectual Disabilities learn how to live, work and volunteer in their own communities. Sometimes, they don't always do what is expected of them, (sounds like some other people I know!) and sometimes when they do what they want to do others get hurt.
Now, I hold no grudges against anyone, things happen, and I should know better than to try to stop a moving boulder from rolling across a room when the boulder is larger and much stronger than I am. I was hurt a couple of weeks ago, causing a nice sprain to my right shoulder and up into the right side of my neck.
I was hurt badly enough to be put on light duty at work and Physical Therapy was prescribed to aid in the heeling process and to help build the muscles stronger so I (hopefully) won't re-injure myself anytime soon. Well, tomorrow we are going on week 3 of this injury, and I
had been feeling pretty good the last couple of days. In fact, this morning I woke up with NO pain and didn't bother to take any pain medications before going to PT. I am no convinced that was a
BIG MISTAKE!
I spent today at work in ever increasing pain, nothing near the original pain, but definitely more pain than I had been in in the past previous days. I had high hopes of being taken off PT on Thursday, but now, I am not so sure. This saddens me, as I am not accustomed to feeling pain for more than a few days, then being back to my normal self in no time! Even when I dropped a laptop edge down on my toes and caused serious tissue damage do I remember the pain lasting longer than 5 days.
The PA I visit with weekly says I will heal and be back to as good as new... Let's pray she is correct!
Ok, onto happier things, because I am NOT about to let a little bit of pain slow me down! This evening I am determined to finish the bracelet I am working on. I don't need my shoulder to do jewelry work (Thank You God!) although many other things that I would normally do WOULD need my shoulder. So I can't do them, this is not the end of the world, at least I don't think it is!
If I get the bracelet done, I think I will celebrate by a short session on Pinterest this evening! I so have to limit my time on there, as I will just get lost looking, sharing, reading, loving!

And a quick read for you parents out there who may be dealing with a sticky situation! I cannot say that I have been in this particular spot with any of my own children, but I can say that I have seen the results of others I know who have been! It DOES get better :-) so read some encouragement, even if you don't have a picky eater of your own, you may know someone who does!
